Throughout the 2025–26 season, FEDORA Platform Members brought opera and performing arts to audiences across Europe through a series of inspiring roadshows. Discover the highlights, key moments, and collaborations that showcased innovation, artistic excellence, and the strength of the FEDORA network.

Roadshows - Season 25/26

Bulgaria

Stara Zagora State Opera

On International Children’s Day, children from the inclusive initiative We Are Musicians joined artists from Stara Zagora State Opera for a joyful musical celebration dedicated to imagination, participation and every child’s right to experience the arts.  

France

Festival d'Aix en Provence

The Festival d’Aix-en-Provence brought together artists, cultural professionals and international partners for three days of encounters, discussions and exchange, creating a space to reflect on contemporary opera, artistic creation and the future of the sector.

Opéra Orchestre National Montpellier Occitanie

Opéra Orchestre de Montpellier presented a hybrid performance combining symphonic music and digital creation, featuring a visual work by students from GOBELINS Paris set to Réveil à l’aube d’une ville by Lisa Chevalier, laureate of the Unanimes! 2024 competition.

Sharon Eyal Dance Company (S-E-D)
From 27 November to 6 December 2025, choreographer Sharon Eyal and her company S-E-D presented Delay the Sadness at La Villette in Paris. This new creation marks another major step in Sharon Eyal’s exploration of human emotion through movement and collective energy.  

Germany

Freunde und Förderer der Staatsoper Unter den Linden

The Friends & Supporters of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden brought emerging musical talent into the spotlight during their 2026 General Assembly, combining an annual gathering of supporters with a focus on the next generation of artists at the Staatskapelle Berlin.  

Nationaltheater Mannheim

Nationaltheater Mannheim brought four emerging artistic teams to Mannheimer Sommer 2026 with TO THE EDGES, presenting four new works that challenge conventions and explore new possibilities for contemporary music theatre.  Around 80 proposals were submitted, with four projects ultimately selected through a multi-stage selection process.

Oper Leipzig

With its video campaign Wer ist die Oper Leipzig?, Oper Leipzig turned the spotlight towards the people working behind the scenes, highlighting emerging professionals and exploring how sustainability, inclusion and digital transformation shape everyday life within an opera house.  

Staatsoper Hannover

Homo Oeconomicus, the new opera by composer Andrea Tarrodi and librettist-director Helena Röh.
Following the first teaser release, this new trailer offers an expanded look into the creative world of the opera ahead of its world premiere on 11 April 2026 at Ballhof 1

Theater Magdeburg

Theater Magdeburg invited young audiences to become part of the performance with Laika the Spacedog, an interactive children’s opera combining music, history and participation while transforming children from spectators into active contributors to the story.

  Greece  

Greek National Opera

The Greek National Opera Professional Dance School brings a new generation of dancers to the Kalamata International Dance Festival with Metamorphosis, a contemporary double bill exploring the expressive possibilities of movement through works by Cyril Baldy and Jesús Rubio Gamo.

Ireland

Irish National Opera

Irish National Opera joined forces with the Kabin Crew for The Sound of the Northside, bringing young voices together with the INO Orchestra in a vibrant encounter between rap, spoken word, singing and live orchestral music. The project creates a meeting point between different musical languages.

Italy

Teatro Sociale di Como - AsLiCo

Climate Week Como: Promoting Sustainable Culture for All Ages
As part of Climate Week Como, AsLiCo brought opera and sustainability together, engaging children and families with environmental themes through music, storytelling and participatory cultural experiences.

Fondazione Haydn Di Bolzano e Trento

Bolzano Danza returns from July 16 to 31, 2026, with its 42nd edition, Horizon. The international festival for contemporary dance, organized by the Haydn Foundation, brings 36 artists from across Europe to Bolzano and presents more than 40 events, including numerous Italian premieres and world premieres.

Fondazione Teatro Regio di Parma

The Teatro Regio di Parma celebrated its 197th anniversary with Regio197, a special concert and day of festivities dedicated to the theatre’s history, its community, and the future of opera.

Netherands

Dutch National Opera and Ballet

Dutch National Opera & Ballet brings together young patrons and a new generation of opera and ballet talent for the International Young Patrons Gala, celebrating emerging artists while strengthening connections between young audiences, supporters and the performing arts. 

O. Festival for Opera.Music.Theatre

FEDORA Roadshow x O. 2026: Connecting Emerging Music Theatre Makers  
O. Festival brought emerging music theatre makers, international programmers and cultural professionals together for a programme centred on artistic exchange, networking and new opportunities for collaboration.

World Opera Lab

World Opera Lab brought artists and residents of Amsterdam’s Staatsliedenbuurt together for Sibyls of the City, a community opera exploring the future of the neighbourhood through music, local stories and fortune-telling traditions from cultures around the world.  

  Poland

Poznan Opera

We are proud to support Spectrum 04, a choreographic development platform at the Teatr Wielki im. Stanisława Moniuszki w Poznaniu where ballet dancers become creators, developing and presenting their own original works from concept to stage.

Portugal

Opera do Castelo

Ópera do Castelo brought the seventh edition of Operafest Lisboa & Oeiras into focus through a digital visibility campaign presenting a festival where operatic classics meet contemporary creation, new artistic voices and unexpected perspectives under the theme of “Enigma.”

  Spain  

Teatro Real

On 22 January, the Teatro Real in Madrid hosted a special event as part of the VII Young Talents Cycle of the Banco Sabadell Foundation, bringing together around 150 young participants. The evening opened with an encounter led by Joan Matabosch, Artistic Director of the Teatro Real

Sweden  

Royal Swedish Opera and Ballet

On 7 January 2026, the Royal Swedish Opera hosted a traditional Knut’s party, the Swedish “looting of the Christmas tree” that marks the end of the Christmas season, in the grand entrance of the Opera House. Conceived as a public-facing fundraising event, the celebration invited members of the general public who had donated.

Ukraine  

Kyiv National Academic Operetta's Theatre

On 19 October, the Reduta Hall of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera hosted the chamber concert Love, Fate, Hope, featuring soloists of the National Operetta of Ukraine. Welcoming remarks were given by Roman Shepelyak, Bohdan Strutynskyi, and Beata Klatka.
