"As a Platform Member, Opéra de Rouen Normandie supports openness and development. Opera houses have a very international repertoire, and by inviting new artists, they also participate in bringing the audiences and the artists closer. To be part of the FEDORA Platform and its initiatives contribute to these transformations and innovations."

The Opéra de Rouen Normandie drives an artistic project based on excellence, programming nearly one hundred performances per season of opera, music and dance at the Théâtre des Arts in Rouen and at the Chapelle Corneille, an auditorium in Rouen, too. Its permanent orchestra offers audiences a diverse repertoire of vocal, symphonic and chamber music works not only at the theater itself but on tour throughout Normandy and beyond, as is shown by its concerts in Paris, New York, Havana and Saint-Petersburg.

In residence at the Opera, accentus, Laurence Equilbey’s vocal ensemble puts on its best productions there, contributing to the Opera’s high artistic standing.

Opéra de Rouen Normandie is supported by highly faithful audiences and can be proud of welcoming almost 90,000 spectators every year, with a core audience of over 5,000 season ticket holders. In 2018, the institution has just obtained from the Ministry of Culture the label Lyric Theater of National Interest.
