VOCE Creative Opera Educational Videos

Presentation

VOCE is to produce educational video about opera among three joint opera houses: Teatro Comunale di Modena, Théâtre national de l'Opéra Comique and Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera.
We wish to provide existing and prospective audiences around the world with an effective, entertaining and engaging education tool.

EDUNOVA, the largest e-learning interuniversity centre of northern Italy, will support the co-creation/audience development part of the project and will be responsible for the video production of the Modena theatre.

The project will produce video guides on 12 opera titles, less well-known as well as popular ones, composed of “video guides” for the general audience and animated versions tailored for children. Additional videos will be produced about opera as a performing art, its staging and appreciation: “The making of an opera”, “Theatre jobs and professions: working at the opera house”, “The phantom of the Opera: secret spaces and hidden stories at the opera house” and “When I fell in love: opera appreciation from the audience perspective”.

Videos of all three kinds (opera guide, animations and video about the opera world) will be useful as study material in school classrooms, at home through theatre’s websites, during lectures and presentations in the opera house, associated with the online streaming of the operas. All videos will be available on Youtube.
