The Haydn Foundation of Bolzano and Trento is one of the most prestigious artistic institutions in the region of Trentino-South Tyrol. Born out of the Haydn Orchestra, the Foundation promotes high-quality music culture by offering audiences unique and thrilling experiences.
The Foundation's activities encompass symphony concerts, acclaimed at national and international level; the opera programme, which is attentive to current world developments; and the Bolzano Danza Festival, one of Italy’s leading contemporary dance festivals.
The Haydn Foundation is an artistic innovation centre at the service of our community. It sees music, opera and dance as opportunities for personal and social growth, an ongoing exchange between the Italian, German and wider European cultures.

ABOUT "EUREGIO OPER.A 2022-2024"
The Project, curated by Matthias Lošek, has the ambitious goal of presenting to the public in our region three contemporary operas by three composers - one from Trentino, one from South Tyrol and one from Tyrol - as world premieres over a period of three years. This cross-section of contemporary European musical theatre creation, which is at the same time also an examination of the creative humus of a region, the Tyrol-Südtirol/Alto Adige-Trentino Euroregion, is to be seen as an artistic commitment to a united Europe in the spirit of the great thinkers and musicians of this continent, and this is what unites us as institutions in the region.
