New Audiences

Incontra l'Opera (Meet the Opera) is a project for audience development which addresses secondary school students of the Macerata area. It takes them to the theatre for one morning with ex artistic director Francesco Micheli, accompanied by a pianist and a soprano. The aim is to take young viewers to a fascinating journey through the operas on stage this coming season. These two events are followed by two others, for the general audience, aiming to make everyone familiarize with the opera.

Innovation & Creativity

Opera everywhere and accessible to everyone in the streets, in the courtyards and under the arcades of the palaces of the historical city centre of Macerata: Festival OFF let the music walk around town, developing a conversation between the Sferisterio and the territory. The belcanto comes out of its temple and lives the city with recitals, exhibitions and aperitifs about the characters from the titles of the season. The most important event, La Notte dell’Opera, transforms Macerata into a huge stage where over 50 thousand visitors become the protago-nists of the largest show of the summer.
