Short Bio

Emanuel Gat is an internationally acclaimed choreographer and Artistic Director of Emanuel Gat Dance, the company he founded in 2004 after developing his distinctive choreographic language in Israel. His innovative works, including The Rite of Spring, LOVETRAIN2020, and Freedom Sonata, have earned worldwide recognition and have been presented at leading theatres and festivals across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. Based in France, Gat is known for creating highly collaborative works that bring together dance, music, lighting, and photography into a singular artistic vision. In addition to creating for his own company, he has choreographed for renowned institutions including Paris Opera Ballet, Ballet de l'Opéra de Lyon, Sydney Dance Company, and Staatsballett Berlin. Alongside his creative practice, Gat is an influential teacher and mentor, regularly collaborating with leading dance schools and companies while sharing his distinctive methodology through workshops, residencies, and masterclasses.
