About the podcast

In this Prague National Theater podcast special on ecological approaches, dramaturge Nina Jacques discusses how to stage productions that are both visually stunning and environmentally conscious.

The aim isn’t to restrict creativity or artistic vision, but to rethink production practices with greater responsibility. This means opting for sustainable materials, reducing logistical burdens, and prioritizing recycling and the reuse of stage elements once a show concludes.

These principles were at the forefront of the February 2024 production One More Minute. The conversation explores the role of the Re-use Federation in the creative process, the challenges of sustainable costume design, and the best practices that can help ensure sustainability remains central to future projects.

The episode also features music from the productions One More Minute and Pride and Prejudice.
