Björk's Verspertine

The Nationaltheater Mannheim plans to stage an opera based on Björk’ s notorious album “Vespertine”. Inspired by the desire to find a new form of music theatre, which appreciates those popular musical forms that have significantly shaped our understanding of art, pop music and the opera. Coproduction partner for "Vespertine" is Kopenhagen based theatre and performance group Hotel Pro Forma involving the higly acclaimed artist Kirsten Dehlholm. The premiere will be on May 26th 2018 in the Opera House of Nationaltheater Mannheim in Germany.
