FEDORA is happy to announce the launch of its new Digital Prize with the support of Kearney, the leading global management consulting firm.
"Through our partnership with FEDORA, we accompany new generations of artists in the development of ideas and encourage interdisciplinary approaches to unleash the potential of digital innovation in the fields of opera and ballet".
The call for applications for this new Digital Prize is open until December 13th, 2019. Opera houses, dance companies and festivals can now apply with digital projects on or beyond the stage and win up to €50,000. Thanks to the support of Kearney, the Prize aims at advocating new ways of artistic expression and acccess to opera and ballet through digital innovation. Projects may involve, but are not limited to the following technologies: virtual reality and/or augmented reality, artificial intelligence, projection mapping, immersive sound resulting in new audience experiences, new ways of interactions with audiences or new ways of artistic expression through digital experimentation.
The projects will be shortlisted in collaboration with our expert partner IMZ International Music + Media Centre, represented by Mr Peter Maniura, former director at BBC.
Denis & Katya by Composer Philip Venables and Stage Director Ted Huffman of Opera Philadelphia, Winner of the FEDORA - GENERALI Prize for Opera 2019, premieres in France today! After a success in the United States, the piece has been adapted for French audiences and will be performed on July 26th, 28th and 29th 2021 at Opéra Comédie, Montpellier, France.
