Inge Lattre
"Winning the FEDORA prize supplied Platform-K with much needed credibility towards other funders and our peers (the arts, education, ...) We've become recognised and valued internationally and it provided us with ample opportunity to further develop and grow as an organisation. After losing our structural funding in 2016 and fighting so hard to keep Platform-K alive and let it grow, this token of appreciation was deeply valued." Inge Lattre,  Artistic Director

Platform-K is a dance company for dancers and dance-makers with and without disabilities. They make it possible for dancers with disabilities to professionalize, focusing on their own artistic style and development.

DISCOVER OUR ON-GOING SEASON
During this season, we are mainly touring our old production 'The Goldberg Variations' and newest creation 'Change of Plans' - coproduced with GRIP - around Belgium. Apart from that, our dance workspace continues to host the dance education of over 20 dancers with a disability and organisms multiple open dance jams or open classes to invite the public on the floor. Encounters are important to us, and we facilitate them through what we know best: dancing.

SUPPORT OUR ORGANISATION
Because we organise weekly trainings, our dancers are technically prolific enough to make truly professional performances. These are a huge part of our image-building: we show that people with disabilities can be economically valuable. In an economy where everybody is defined by their job and even a person's worth is dependent on financial matters, people with disabilities are cast away as people without value. At Platform-K, it is our goal to give everybody a fair chance in developing their talents.
ABOUT "CHANGE OF PLANS"

Together with Zanne Boon and Oskar Stalpaert choreographer Femke Gyselinck walks the bumpy field of tension between choreography as a series of arrangements (or plans) and how those plans then come to life.

They find that their plans are immediately thrown into disarray as soon as you dance together on a stage with an irregular design and erratic height differences.

Together, the five performers seek playful answers to thequestion raised by the title. How do you change a dance plan?

Change of Plans lets you experience how exciting it is to watch dancers who have to keep adjusting their plans to one another.
