The company's vision is the promotion of the art of modern dance through the advancement of contemporary art and the production of transdisciplinary events focusing on dance in all its manifestations; historical, aesthetical, classical - modern form, comparative view. The aim of the company is to explore contemporary dance within the social context, aesthetic currents, political conditions and pop culture. OKTANA endeavors to compose small and large scale plays, research Greek literature and fiction while attempting to broaden the relationship of the public with dance. Since 2017, after a long creative journey of stellar participation in festivals and events worldwide and numerous distinctions, OKTANA Dancetheater now focuses on research based projects studying the evolution of the dance art and specifically the further study of the body and its possibilities.
