During this Covid-19 crisis, recordings and digital performances engage our minds and hearts and afterwards, live performances will assist in bringing our community back together. Despite being closed, some of our organizational members offer exciting online alternatives to live performances. In the following weeks, we will dedicate our page to share information regarding live streaming services, online workshops and exciting ideas from our member organizations.

Opera Ballet Vlaanderen
Now that you cannot come to their theaters, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen brings their performances to you. They have selected the best performances from the past seasons, so you can enjoy everything that opera and ballet have to offer from the comfort of your living room.
Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie/de Munt
Even though the theatre's doors are closed, La Monnaie launches a virtual online season from March 21st to the end of the Easter holidays. On their website, la Monnaie lets you stream making-offs, extracts, interviews and entire performances such as Dusapin's Macbeth Underworld (in collaboration with Opéra Comique), Poulenc's Dialogue des Carmélites and many more.

To keep you company, the Finnish Opera and Ballet lets you stream some of their most incredible opera and ballet productions. CCN - Ballet de Lorraine
The CCN - Ballet de Lorraine's latest productions will now be available to stream on their Vimeo page. Discover some of their most recent productions such as Record of Ancient Things, For Four Walls, and Discofoot a documentary about the sport mixing football and dance. Moreover, you can be involved in a participative online choreographic process on their Facebook page.

As of March the 25th, Opéra Comique will publish some of their most beautiful works online. Macbeth Underworld, L'Inondation, Ercole Amante, Le Comte Ory, La Nonne sanglante, Le Timbre d’argent, Orphée et Eurydice, Manon, Miranda and many more. The schedule of diffusion will be updated on their social media pages. The first one, Macbeth Underworld, a co-production with Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie/de Munt, was originally cancelled for safety reasons and is now available online.

During the lockdown Landestheater Detmold has created a new digital series of small insights into the corona-related special situation of employees of the regional theater, which work in front of, next to or behind the stage. On their social media account, they also share stream videos of shows.
In order to keep in touch Nationaltheater Mannheim will continue to play for you online content. In the series "Große" (Big Stage), they show excerpts and recordings of their productions every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which are available online for several days. In addition, through their "Master Classes" artists give tips and instructions on how to pass the time at home. In the podcast "HANDWASHING", two actors talk to guests about things that would actually happen now but cannot happen; those that must happen now and those that happen now but should never happen. Facebook and Instagram will also be featured and invite to exchange ideas!

We are happy to have helped connect Opéra de Rouen Normandie "Orchestra Lab" and Sadler's Wells' "Family Dance Workshop" from London with these children in France.Read more
