Exposure to opera and ballet at a young age triggers creativity, social and emotional learning, and mutual respect. Despite being closed, some of our organizational members offer exciting online streamings of performances, activities and games for young audiences who are 2 to 12 years old and their families.
Spend some quality time with your child by watching Opéra Comique's selection of opera streaming (in French). Let your kids discover La Princesse Légère, composed by Violeta Cruz, the opera about a princess afflicted by a constant weightlessness unable to get her feet on the ground, or Le mystère de l'Écureuil Bleu, directed by Marx-Olivier Dupin, an investigation which invites children to discover the art form of opera.
Opéra de Rouen Normandie
Opéra de Rouen Normandie and its partners have launched Orchestra Lab, an online game platform for musical learning, entertaining as well as educative! Follow the adventures of Zic the alien who loves classical music. Through a series of educational mini-games, you can dive into the classics, Haydn's Symphony n°83, Stravinsky's The Firebird and Mozart's The Abduction from the Seraglio.
Dutch National Opera & Ballet
The Dutch National Opera & Ballet's online platform features exciting and playful opera and ballet activities for children! Wether it be an introduction to ballet or opera, videos explaining the history of the art forms or arts and craft activities, there are many ways for children to learn, play and express themselves.
Join the Drottningholms Slottsteater for "April, april, teatern kan lura dig vart den vill!", a show for children about the magical world of the theater. Join the theater on an exciting voyage of discovery where they reveal tricks and secrets of the theater going back alla the way to the 18th century.
Verbier Festival invites you into a world of imagination revolving around Camille de Saint-Saëns's Carnival of the Animals. Visit the VF Kids Zone to watch a series of short film episodes released each week through late June, animated by Marc Philippin using children's drawings created during workshops at last year's edition of the festival. You can also create your own musical circus! Using your own art supplies at home of the festival's online drawing board get a chance to be featured in the Festival's "Carnival Art Gallery" and win a limited edition of a Carnival of the Animals poster.
Sadler's Wells has launched a series of dance classes created specially for families with younger children now unable to attend kinder garden or school.Coordinated by Sadler's Wells' Learning & Engagment team, these workshops feature 5 different movement activities for children aged 2 to 6 years to follow at home.

Join the Theatre each day to Meet a dancer, engage with a Teaching Artist, learn fun facts and enjoy ballet-themed activities such as puzzles from the comfort of your own home.
Discover Opera in a Trunk by Opera Philadelphia, introduces younger students to the concepts of opera through a series of videos which can be done at home or in the classroom. This series of eight videos is taught by Opera Philadelphia teaching artists, all of whom are professional opera singers!
