FEDORA Prizes

It has been decided that potential applicants for the FEDORA Opera Prize, the FEDORA - VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Prize for Ballet and the FEDORA Digital Prize 2021 may apply with projects which premiere as of June 10th, 2021.

The updated criteria of the FEDORA Opera Prize and the FEDORA - VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Prize for Ballet 2021 can be found below:

  1. Productions should be of newly commissioned and yet unstaged work.
  2. First performance must be scheduled within the time frame of June 10th, 2021 and December 31st, 2022.
  3. The project should either involve one international partner or be made accessible online.
  4. The creative team should preferably bring together diverse, young emerging artists of different genders, ethnicities, nationalities, disciplines and institutions (e.g. composers, choreographers, conductors, librettists, stage directors, costume designers, set designers, etc.).

 The updated criteria of the FEDORA Digital Prize 2021 can be found below:  

  1. Innovative digital projects on or beyond the stage to be initiated or developed in the future.
  2. Opening Nights/Project Launches must be scheduled within the time frame of June 10th, 2021 and December 31st, 2022.
  3. Projects can involve expert partners from outside the field of opera or ballet (i.e. technology companies, digital experts, video artists, etc.) committed to the development and implementation of the project.
  4. The creative team should preferably bring together diverse, young emerging artists of different genders, ethnicities, nationalities, disciplines and institutions (e.g. composers, choreographers, conductors, librettists, stage directors, costume designers, set designers, etc.).
