EduOpera for Special You(th)

In the project EduOpera for special You(th), children with special educational needs will have the possibility to experience and "touch" music, dance and the arts.

This project is pioneer in Bulgaria.

"We believe everyone should have the opportunity to visit an opera theater and enjoy a show. We believe opera and classical music can indeed improve social communication and functional brain connectivity in children and young people with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, ADHD and other developmental challenges."

We asked a few questions to Uschi Horner, Stage Director and Victor Krumov, Conductor of EduOpera for Special You(th) by State Opera - Stara Zagora, who discuss their inspirations, what are the main challenges when working with children, but most of all, how music can make a difference in the education of children.
