The winners of the 2022 International Opera Awards were announced at the Teatro Real in Madrid on November 28, 2022. Founded in 2012, the International Opera Awards is an annual celebration of excellence in opera around the world, aiming at recognising and rewarding success in the field.

La Monnaie De Munt is a Member of the FEDORA Platform and benefits from co-funding from the Creative Europe Programme of the European Commission. The project was shortlisted for the FEDORA Opera Prize 2021.
Nicholas Payne has led Opera Europa since 2003 and has previously been in charge at English National Opera and the Royal Opera House. Since the launch of the FEDORA Prizes, he has chaired the Opera and Dance jury up until 2021. The same year, he chairs the jury of the first edition of the Next Stage Grants.
