What if our minds could live forever? Through Upload, composer, director and librettist Michel van der Aa tells the story of a father, who suffers from a severe trauma, and a daughter. Upload will tell its story through live action, motion-capture and immersive film.

Woman at Point Zero

Woman at Point Zero is based on a novel by Egyptian feminist writer Nawal El Saadawi from 1975. The novel portrays Nawal’s encounter with a woman named Firdaus, who is on death row in a Cairo prison.

The Listeners is a new opera from composer Missy Mazzoli and librettist Royce Vavrek based on an original story by Jordan Tannahill and inspired by the phenomenon known as The Hum, a high-frequency environmental noise that only a select few people, “the Listeners”, can hear.

FLUX is a non-linear opera commissioned to emerging composer Joel Baldwin with a libretto sung only in vowels. Set in the 17th century Steintheater in Salzburg, the opera uses its natural and isolated surrounding as a multi-sensory canvas.
