About the project

Drawing on the theory of Jean Baudrillard, SIMULACRO explores a present saturated with signs, screens, and simulations, where truth no longer disappears - it was never there to begin with. The work opens not with a linear narrative but in a roundabout: a circular space of repetition, disorientation, and suspended time. There, bodies no longer act but react - echo, trace, interference. In this fragmented landscape, choreography becomes a dislocated, nonlinear flow of gestures and impressions. Each movement is a doorway to another interface, another layer of meaning or illusion. In place of traditional structure, SIMULACRO presents a fractured reality in which perception is filtered, time collapses, and the body becomes both signal and ghost. The work mirrors the deeper ruptures of our age: the disintegration of self, time, and truth in a world governed by invisible algorithms and endless digital feedback loops.

Emerging artists

Beyond its philosophical and aesthetic depth, SIMULACRO is also a platform for emerging artists. Kor’sia integrates young performers into the full creative process - not just as dancers, but as co-creators. Through tailored mentorship and collaborative exchange, these artists are encouraged to contribute actively to the development of the piece. Their participation is not symbolic; it is central to the work’s evolving form. By engaging with SIMULACRO’s conceptual landscape and choreographic language, they gain crucial performance experience within a highly visible, international production. In doing so, the project becomes both an artistic investigation and a springboard for the next generation of voices in contemporary dance.

Platform Member Kor'Sia

For the Kor'sia collective, the arts and specifically the arts of movement, as their competence, are the only representations that manage to transmit the human world, everything created by our societies: tradition, society, culture ..., in a way that no other cognitive skill achieves.
