FEDORA is delighted to welcome the Opéra National de Bordeaux as a new member of our European network.
A major cultural force in France, the Opéra National de Bordeaux brings together three artistic ensembles, the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, the Chœur, and the Ballet, presenting each season a rich programme of opera, dance, symphonic concerts, and choral music at the Grand-Théâtre and the Auditorium. With more than 250 performances and over 200 outreach activities across the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and beyond, the institution plays a key role in promoting accessibility, creativity, and inclusion.
Under the leadership of Emmanuel Hondré, the Opéra National de Bordeaux pursues an ambitious “Opéra citoyen” project, opening its doors to all audiences and embracing all musical genres — from classical to jazz, pop, and world music. Its workshops preserve and innovate unique artisanal know-how in set, costume, and accessory design, all within a sustainable and socially engaged approach.
