Opéra National de Bordeaux Joins our Network!

FEDORA is delighted to welcome the Opéra National de Bordeaux as a new member of our European network.
A major cultural force in France, the Opéra National de Bordeaux brings together three artistic ensembles, the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, the Chœur, and the Ballet, presenting each season a rich programme of opera, dance, symphonic concerts, and choral music at the Grand-Théâtre and the Auditorium. With more than 250 performances and over 200 outreach activities across the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and beyond, the institution plays a key role in promoting accessibility, creativity, and inclusion.
Under the leadership of General Director Emmanuel Hondré, Musical Director Joseph Swensen, Dance Director Éric Quilleré & Chorus Conductor Salvatore Caputo, the Opéra National de Bordeaux pursues an ambitious “Opéra citoyen” project, opening its doors to all audiences and embracing all musical genres — from classical to jazz, pop, and world music. Its workshops preserve and innovate unique artisanal know-how in set, costume, and accessory design, all within a sustainable and socially engaged approach.
