Industry News, Shortlists

We are thrilled to celebrate French artist Milène Guermont, whose project  SUBLIME DAILY LIFE was shortlisted for the FEDORA Digital Prize 2025, and who was given a Carte Blanche at the Grand Palais Immersif in Paris. This immersive evening highlighted 20 years of her groundbreaking work, blending sculpture, light, and sensory innovation.

Guests explored her artistic universe, from the iconic concrete feathers of Nuit Blanche to dynamic installations of vibrating foam and tactile concrete, demonstrating how Guermont continuously pushes the boundaries between art, material, and technology. The evening featured a short documentary produced by ARTE Studio, alongside her book-object PLEASE TOUCH, inviting visitors to fully engage with her work.

Her project SUBLIME DAILY LIFE, shortlisted for the FEDORA Digital Prize 2025, explores how the boundaries between art, technology, and daily life can dissolve, revealing the extraordinary in the ordinary. Developed within her “home-sculpture” MAISON GUERMONT in Paris, the digital opera brings together artists, engineers, and researchers to transform everyday gestures, sounds, and movements into an immersive artistic experience.

The FEDORA Digital Prize is supported by Kearney, in collaboration with IMZ Music + Media Centre, and the FEDORA Prizes competition is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission.
