Join IMZ Academy Workshop 2026: LIVE MULTI-CAMERA DIRECTING OF OPERA PERFORMANCES

The IMZ Academy returns to London from 2–5 July 2026 for a workshop on live multi-camera directing for opera.
In partnership with the Royal College of Music, it offers a rare hands-on opportunity to direct a scene from a brand-new opera composed and performed by RCM students in the Britten Theatre, using state-of-the-art equipment and a professional control room. Under the guidance of Peter Maniura, Rhodri Huw, and Yvonne Craven, participants will develop the skills to visualise, script, and direct opera at the highest level.

The IMZ Academy Workshop 2026 will offer directors, filmmakers and members of digital and production teams in opera houses, broadcast media and performing arts organisations or venues a chance to master advanced directing skills in opera.
