Industry News, Organisational Members

FEDORA’s organisational member Fondazione Haydn di Bolzano e Trento is launching its new innovative projet: “HAYDN OPEN LAND”, funded by the Italian Ministry of Culture.

Inspired by our Next Stage Capacity-Building Workshop on Digital Transformation, Fondazione Haydn di Bolzano e Trento, developed a complex project aiming at enhancing its Orchestra’s heritage and the beauty of nature through digital and innovative tools.

The project uses bone-conducting headphones that transmit slight vibrations to the bones and enable the ears to hear sounds from the outside environment. This unique technology allows unconventional music enjoyment and makes it accessible to people with hearing impairments.

Haydn Open Land

Thanks to the bone-conducting headphones, Fondazione Haydn di Bolzano e Trento invites people to take a walk throughout the Alps landscapes, while listening to the sounds of nature, to the voices of environmental guides, and to the musical pieces played by the Haydn Orchestra.

This unique “soundwalk”, designed by composer and sound artist Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch, offers the possibility to rediscover nature and classical music together and to enhance their respective - and complementary - beauty.

If you are curious about this project:
  • HAYDN OPEN LAND "INFORESTÀRSI" is available since 8 July 2023 in San Martino in Badia (Bozen Province)
  • HAYDN OPEN LAND "THE DISCRETION OF TRACES" is available since 9 July 2023 in Madonna di Campiglio (Trient Province)
