FEDORA - The European Circle of Philanthropists of Opera and Ballet is committed to supporting and contributing to the future of opera and ballet. The association was founded in 2014, under the Presidency of Jérôme-François Zieseniss. FEDORA federates 85 opera houses in 21 countries and its main goal is to raise funds to support the creation of new opera and ballet productions and in particular to encourage artistic co-operation between opera houses, festivals and artists. Funds are raised through private and corporate sponsorship and activities organised around the annual international prizes competition. Since 2017 FEDORA is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. Thanks to this support FEDORA has created a European quality label and launched the FEDORA Platform in 2018 as a showcase of innovative new opera and ballet projects, created by talented artists to reach out to new audiences.


We are looking for someone to join our young and international team managed by Edilia Gänz, Forbes 30under30 Europe, to take on responsibilities as Communications Coordinator.


- Development of FEDORA’s on- and offline communications (including brochures, press kits and press releases)
- Coordination of external expert partners (Branding, PR, video production and digital marketing)
- Community management on social media and influencer marketing
- Data tracking and analysis to support strategic decision making and for senior management reporting

Event Communications

- Coordination of on- and offline communication activities related to the General Assembly in collaboration with the Director
- Coordination of on- and offline communication activities related to the FEDORA Platform in collaboration with the Platform Coordinator
- Coordination of on- and offline communication activities related to the FEDORA Prizes Competition in collaboration with the Competition Coordinator (especially before and during press conferences, online voting and crowdfunding phases and Award Night)


Education & work experience

- Master’s degree in any field, preferably communications, business administration, marketing, cultural management or social sciences
- Previous experience in communications, digital marketing and social media management is preferable

Important skills

- Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proactive and independent work style, with good team spirit
- Strong public relations skills
- Attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Relevant experience in project management, communications, digital marketing, web-publishing, e-mailing, website content management and social media community management (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), SEO management
- Knowledge of Google tools (YouTube, Analytics, etc.)

Language skills

- English (fluent written and spoken)
- French (fluent written and spoken)
- Additional languages are an advantage
