In order to follow the prizes competition and vote for your favourite projects please follow FEDORA Platform's social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linkedin) and subscribe to our newsletter here.
What are the Shortlist categories and the prize amounts?
FEDORA has established four Prizes: the FEDORA Opera Prize (€ 75.000), the FEDORA - VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Prize for Ballet (€ 50.000), the FEDORA Education Prize (€ 50.000) and the FEDORA Digital Prize (€50.000).
These Prizes are awarded to promising artists and teams of co-producing cultural institutions who collaborate on the creation of new opera or ballet productions to reach out to new and wider audiences as well as educational projects that advocate social inclusion and intercultural dialogue, and digital projects that harness the digital shift on and beyond the stage in these fields.
How can I vote for a project?
By creating your account on the FEDORA Platform, you can vote for your favorite projects until February 28th, 12 pm (GMT+1). This only takes 2 minutes!
What difference can I make with my vote?
Your vote can make a difference for your favourite projects. The project with the most votes in each category will reach the next stage of the competition by becoming a public nominee! The projects nominated for the FEDORA Prizes have the opportunity to run fundraising campaigns on the FEDORA Platform in Spring and will benefit from capacity-building activities.
What happens afterwards?
On February 26th we will announce the nominees that have been selected by our expert jury. Moreover, the projects that have received the highest number of votes in each category during the voting phase will become the Public Nominees and will stay in the competition for the Nominee Phase. All Nominees will have the opportunity to run crowdfunding campaigns in spring on the FEDORA Platform in order to raise additional funds to realize their projects. The winners will be announced in June and will receive the prize money.
Who selects the nominees and winners?
The pre-selected opera, ballet, education and digital projects are presented to four juries of experts in the fields of opera, ballet, education and digital who assess the applications, nominate projects and select the winners of the FEDORA Prizes. The jury for the seventh edition of the FEDORA Prizes will be announced on February 1st during the shortlist announcement. Click here and discover the jury from our past editions!
