Through its funding programmes, the FEDORA Prizes Biennale and the Next Stage Grants, FEDORA provides both funding opportunities and capacity-building to its network of around 100 opera houses and dance companies all over Europe.
Internationally recognized as the largest opera and dance competition and European Platform for new work in opera and dance, FEDORA aims to guarantee the future of these art forms in Europe. Four prizes are awarded to promising teams who collaborate on the creation of new opera and dance co-productions, and on the involvement and education of new and young audiences. And the Next Stage grants are attributed to projects that drive innovation through sustainable, inclusive and digital transformation on, behind and beyond the stage.
Role as Assistant to the Director
Are you someone who possesses a positive attitude and the ability to prioritize and multitask? FEDORA is seeking a dynamic, full-time Assistant to the Director to join our young, international team.
The ideal candidate will be the right-hand person to the Director. The position requires someone who is attentive to details, keeps things on track, is proactive, and is highly tech-savvy. The key qualities for this role are being a relationship builder and a problem solver.
We are seeking a candidate with some administrative experience who is interested in pursuing a career in cultural management and philanthropy. The candidate will be involved in a wide variety of tasks: special projects, events, and donor development, as well as operational tasks. This position provides an inside view into a non-profit philanthropic organisation that supports a network of 100 opera houses, dance companies and festivals.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Operational coordination
Ensure there is an efficient system in place for organising meeting logistics
Manage calendars and arrange travel for the Director
Provide timely follow up about meeting with team and donors
Perform other team duties as assigned
Fundraising
Conduct research on potential donors
Draft collaboration proposals
Draft impact reports
Manage database
Office administration
Handle administrative tasks
Manage expenses and timesheet reports
PROFILE DESCRIPTION
Education & work experience
Master’s degree in business administration, marketing management, communications, or arts and cultural management
Important skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Highly organised, as well as excellent planning and time-management skills
Capacity for multitasking and ability to prioritise various projects with different deadlines and urgencies
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
Organised, punctual and patient
Competence with Microsoft Office and Google Suite tools
Language skills
English (fluent written and spoken)
French (fluent written and spoken)
Additional languages are an advantage
CONTRACT DATES
6 months full-time internship from September 2022 until February 2023 (and possibility to renew it until August 2023)

COMPENSATION
