FEDORA - The European Circle of Philanthropists of Opera and Ballet (www.fedora-platform.com) is a non-profit organisation that supports creativity and innovation in opera and ballet. Through its funding programmes, the FEDORA Prizes Biennale and the Next Stage Grants, FEDORA provides both funding opportunities and capacity-building to its network of around 100 opera houses and dance companies all over Europe.
Internationally recognized as the largest opera and dance competition and European Platform for new work in opera and dance, FEDORA aims to guarantee the future of these art forms in Europe. Four prizes are awarded to promising teams who collaborate on the creation of new opera and dance co-productions, and on the involvement and education of new and young audiences. The newly created Next Stage Grants are attributed to projects that drive innovation through sustainable, inclusive and digital transformation on, behind and beyond the stage.
We are looking for someone to join our young and international team as Members and Development Coordinator under the supervision of the Members and Development Manager.
The Members and Development Department at FEDORA manages a philanthropy programme that creates meaningful experiences for members and donors while raising funds to sustain the association’s activities including the FEDORA Prizes Biennale, the “Next Stage” Grants, capacity-building for opera houses and dance companies, FEDORA Events and more. Main tasks of the department include identifying, researching, securing, and stewarding financial support from individuals, companies and foundations.
The Coordinator reports to the Members and Development Manager, but also works closely with all team members.
The Coordinator will gain insights on membership management, individual and corporate sponsorship, coordination of special projects and events, and identify new donors and create impact reports.
The Coordinator will drive fundraising strategies and tactics for our non-profit organisation (that is co-funded by the European Commission and upholds the highest reporting and audit standards), gain operating knowledge of software s such as GESCOM and Salesforce, non-profit budget management and project financing, business skills related to cultural institutions and expand their personal and professional skills and network.
